Postponed: iTextile: Using your phone to share your art

September 22, 2019

Due to difficulty in selling workshop spaces at the present time, we have opted to postpone this workshop to the New Year. Do watch this space as this is a fabulous workshop which we know will be beneficial to many WAFTA members.

We will be going through how to make social media-ready photos and videos of your art, from setting up a nice photo/video to uploading the file.

Participants can bring iPhones, Androids and iPads but not DSLR cameras, that are able to operate the latest version of Facebook and Instagram apps.  We will be looking at different types of shots and videos, various techniques for presenting your photos, editing the files using the inbuilt feature available on the Instagram and Facebook apps, and how you can curate your social media content in general.

The cost to members is $65 - there is no early bird this time!

Closing date is October 5th.

Materials requirements - your smartphone.  You may also bring a tablet such as a Surface or iPad in addition to your smartphone.  Please ensure you have a smartphone that supports downloading of apps from an app store such as Apple Appstore or Google Play as we will be investigating different apps and how they can be used.  If you wish to use Instagram or Facebook apps you will need an account set up in advance.
