and the Statue of Eliza

A Call for Entries

WAFTA and The City of Perth invite you to exhibit.

The City of Perth has two 30cm tall Study for Eliza replicas in its collection. Both are currently on display in Tides: Swan River Stories at Council House, Perth.

WAFTA and the City of Perth invite you to submit a small scale work in response to Study for Eliza.

Works may include a "garment" for Study for Eliza. The work is 29cm to the shoulder.  Alternatively, a work up to 40 x 40cm responding to your own stories of Perth waters.

There are no restrictions on materials or techniques used. However works must be free standing on a plinth or ready to hang and fit within the size requirements.

Deadline for submission: Tuesday 15th August 2019.

The exhibition is proposed to be held at Council House and/or the City of Perth Library in late August 2019.

T's & C's

  • Works are not for sale.
  • Works must fit within the size guidelines
  • "Garments" will not be displayed on Study for Eliza, but as stand alone works.
  • Artworks must be submitted by the due date
  • Artists to provide a 50 word artist statement about their work.
