WAFTA is proud to announce the first major textile art award prize in Western Australia for the twentyFIVE+ crossover exhibition to be held in October 2022 at Holmes a’ Court Gallery @ No 10, 10 Douglas St, West Perth.
Three prizes will be offered to all works selected for exhibition by the Jury
Professional: $1,000 for an artist who earns income from art related activities
Maker: $1,000. A maker is any member who creates fibre and textile art and it is not their income support
Student: $500 prize. A student is anyone undertaking an accredited course of study at a tertiary institution
The panel of Jurors and the Curator will select the winners during the exhibition selection process with the award winners being announced at the Exhibition Opening on October 18th.
An additional “Highly Commended” category will be awarded by the Jury to artworks not selected for the exhibition.
Do not miss this opportunity and participate in the 25+years of WAFTA celebrations. All entrants must be a member of WAFTA: WA Fibre and Textile Association at date of entry and through till end of exhibition November 14, 2022.
