WAFTA Members' Meeting at the Embroiderers' Guild of WA

February 7, 2021

WAFTA Members are invited to the first Members' Meeting of 2021 at the Embroiderers' Guild of Western Australia.

Stitch has been used since the beginning of time both decorative and functionally.  From the more simple forms of stitch to the most complicated, it has been done within the Embroiderers' Guild which has now been teaching for over 50 years.

They are throwing open their doors on Sunday 28th February for members of WAFTA to have a look behind the scenes.  Not only at their beautiful building, but also within their museum located on the premises.   You will have the opportunity to learn new stitches, see demonstrations of bobbin lace and tatting, and to have your precious textiles identified or to learn more about them.   Vintage textiles will be available to purchase.

This is a WAFTA members' only event, and afternoon tea will be provided by the Guild. To RSVP you must register for this meeting via Eventbrite.  The cost is $20 (plus $2.19 Eventbrite fees).

We look forward to catching up with you at Guild House in Alfred Cove!
