30X30 ENTRY REQUIREMENTS and TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

ENTRANTS

1. Entry is open to members of WAFTA Inc. Entrants must be financial members of WAFTA at the time of submitting their entry.

2. The entry process is through the 30X30 Exhibition Entry on the WAFTA website at wafta.com.au. 

3. Artworks must be the original, unassisted work of the person(s) whose name(s) appear on the entry form. On application, the artist warrants their entry is original, is the property of the artist and does not infringe any third-party rights.

4. Each WAFTA member can submit one entry, either as a solo artist or as part of a collaborative entry. Collaborative works are welcome; in which case the entrants agree to share the one-entry guideline and forfeit the right to submit another entry. All collaborators must be financial members of WAFTA, all names must be listed on the entry form, and the entered work is considered as one (1) entry.

5. A one-off fee of $15 is payable at the time of submitting your entry. The entry fee is non-refundable.

6. Entries close on July 31, 2025. Late entries will not be accepted.

7. There is an expectation that entrants will participate in the promotion of the exhibition, via their networks and social media platforms. 

8. It is requested that images of the entire artwork are not posted on social media prior to the launch of the online exhibition on August 30, 2025.

9. Entrants give permission for photos of the works for exhibition to be used by WAFTA Inc. free of charge within the catalogue as well as for press & promotional purposes by WAFTA Inc., both for the 30x30 exhibition and for future promotion of WAFTA Inc. which may take form in online or hard copy promotion, including signage.

 

WORKS

9. Work made under the direction of another person, such as in a workshop or course, is not eligible.

10. The work must consist predominantly of materials that fall within the textiles and fibre art discipline, and/or be constructed using textile-making techniques.

11. Dimensions Specifications: 30 x 30 cm or 30 cm diameter or 30 x 30 x 30 cm.

 

ENTRY FORM and IMAGES

12. Entries open on April 30, 2025. Entries are to be submitted through the online Entry Form at 30X30 Exhibition Entry. Paper applications are available on request. 

13. Entries close July 31, 2025. Late entries will not be accepted.

14. A square format photograph between 1-6MB file size, at minimum 72dpi is to be uploaded at the time of entering. 

15. Quality photography will ensure your work is seen at its best. Should you require help, a General Art Photographer’s Guide, including listing of Perth-based and regional photographers can be accessed via the Photography guide

16. The full caption details (title, materials, name of photographer, price) must be provided in your entry form.

 

SALE OF WORKS

17. Works can be for sale, but this is not a condition of entry. The WAFTA commission on any sale is a flat fee of $15.

18. Each work that is for sale will be listed as an image and artist’s name in the WAFTA Online Store on the WAFTA website.

19. Artworks which are for sale will be available to be purchased from August 30 to December 31, 2025.

20. Purchases will be made online via the WAFTA Online Store.

20. The buyer will agree to their contact details being provided to the seller.

21. When an artwork is sold, the seller will be notified of the sale.

22. The seller is responsible for the safe delivery of the purchased artwork to the buyer. This may include it being prepared for postage, packaging and all postage or freight costs, including insurance as necessary.

23. The seller undertakes to provide the purchased artwork to the buyer within 15 business days, or otherwise in arrangement with the buyer.

24. WAFTA will release the sale monies to the seller when the buyer has confirmed receipt of the artwork.
